Light skinned, that makes me colored
Goldenbrown, but I am black
Just a few shades from being them
But treated as if I'm as black as my ancestors who came over by the ship loads
Chained to each other and the walls with shackles
Taken into slavery against their will
Someone else's land they were made to till
Same holds true for today
We're all just slaves, but in different ways
We're working in the Redskins Country
In the Pale Faces' businesses
For our meager Colored wages
And they still have the nerve to tax us...
As if they didn't come in like thieves in the night
Stealing a land that was not their own
Ripping from the Natives everything they had ever known
Too lazy to work, came & kidnapped Proud Blacks from their homes
And built this country on their backs
Divided even amongst themselves
For the poorer of their kind, sympathy & respect they lacked
All this paper in the country
Not earned, but stolen by the rich to become wealthy
And who else do you think that money's going to?
Not to those deserving of
It goes to those who with riches they are in love
That's never the minority
And if it is, that's a rarity
Plus, they don't count anyways
Because 9 times out of 10 they
Don't want themsleves to be this way.
They'd rather be Ivories,
Unhappy with their color
Trying to be something they're not
Not realizing that no matter how hard they try
They will never be accepted
Still an Outsider of that European Mafia Family
Even if you do make more money than them
You can't buy an Ashen Soul
You could be a self made man
And all that money be yours
But they still look at you as if to them something you owe
They think everyone but them should be po
Asking them for hand outs
Am I racist?
I don't consider myself to be
I AM a realist
I deal & speak nothing but truth
Trying to open the eyes and minds
Of our troubled, misled, Growing Too Fast Youth
I don't justify what I say about being racist by saying I have Alabaster Colleagues
Because what I say needs no justification
All I do is share my opinion
And my opinion is the opinion of many
Even the opinion of those whom I speak against
It's because of this, that
It's obvious not all Caucasians are savages & uncivilized...
Yes I call those who are guilty exactly what they called us...
Just as it is obvious that not all of "us" are animals needing to be domesticated and colonized
I do not see Wan Indidviduals as the enemy
But I do see their ancestors as the cause
And this Melting Pot of Ignorant Destruction
Awaiting Implosion from Unconstituted Eruptions
And the Idiosyncracies of this Country's Citizenry
Is the effect
No more complaints for the past though
Over that we have no control
I do have complaints for the present
Just no way to change it all at once
And not sure if it's as plain to see to you as it is to me
But man is not capable
Of making things the way they should be
No matter what their color
So this is my attitude
As I share my thoughts and rap with you
About this country's Red, White, and Blue
This land is not my land
And it's not yours, nor their land
But Us Immigrants & Natives will continue to be treated unfairly
By those who were among the first Undocumented Colonists
Who took someone else's land
Stole it to be their own land
And now declare war in the name of and the money invested in this land
As well others that they are trying to clench with tight fists
And unopened, selfish hands
